But did you know that the essential oil extracted from Avocado with the nutty aroma flavor works wonderfully on hair. At first the benefits of Avocado oil, was recognized by the Egyptians. Promoting the growth of hair, preventing from losing hair, adding luster and shine to it are the main benefits of using Avocado oil. Actually avocado oil can be an one ingredient solution to all the hair problems. You can use it for many purposes like a hot oil treatment, split end treatments, deep conditioning and many more.

1. Hot Avocado Oil Treatment

1 tablespoon of avocado oil
1 tablespoon of olive oil

One soft and clean towel


Mix the olive oil and avocado oil and then apply low heat until the mixture gets slightly warm.

Now massage the warm mixture of oil on the scalp and hair with a circular motion for fifteen minutes.

If your scalp is oily, then avoid the oil for your scalp. Use it only on the hair strands.

Then soak one clean towel in warm water and wrap your scalp and hair with it tightly and stay like this for 5 minutes.

Clean the hair properly with a good branded herbal mild shampoo and then use conditioner for perfect results.


Avocado oil mainly contains various proteins as well as vitamins like A, E, B6 and D. It also contains iron, copper, amino acids, folic acids and magnesium. These elements help us with hair nourishment and growth.

2. Avocado Oil for Split End Treatment

First prepare some smashed avocado by using forks.

Damp your hair properly.

Put the smashed avocado on the hair. Try to begin with the root and slowly work down to the end. Give extra attention to the splitting ends. Massage the smashed avocado in the scalp for protecting the hair from splitting up in the future.

Then cover the whole hair with a shower cap or plastic bag. If your hair is too long, make a bun higher and then cover it up.

Wait for ten to fifteen minutes.

Then use mild shampoo and conditioner to clean the hair properly.

Let it dry and brush it.

3. Avocado Oil for Deep Conditioning

One ripe Avocado
One ripe banana
One tablespoon of olive oil or wheat oil
Shower cap

Few drops of essential oil like rose, sweet orange, jasmine, lavender etc. just for adding smell.


Get a mixture of both mashed avocado and banana. If you have a blender, you can use it to get a finer mixture.

Add the essential oil and olive oil in the mixture and blend it again.

Apply this mixture on your scalp and hair carefully with a brush and then, use a shower cap to cover it up.

Stay for fifteen minutes.

Use a mild shampoo and conditioner to wash it off.

Pat the hair dry with a clean towel.


Avocado oil is also used as hair moisturizer which makes the hair more gorgeous and shiny.

4. Avocado Oil for Hydration Mask

Yogurt one teaspoon
One egg
One ripe peeled avocado
Jojoba oil/ castor oil/ olive oil/ coconut oil one table spoon


Wash the hair carefully and dry it slightly.

Mix the avocado and the essential oil both very neatly.

Use the egg in the mixture and make sure that all the ingredients are mixed properly.

Apply this on the scalp and hair and leave it for ten minutes.

Rinse it off with lukewarm water.
